Public Engagement Manager and Senior Account Executive

Ami Reese values the power of an informed, engaged community. Purpose Brand’s public engagement manager believes the unique experiences and perspectives of community members can motivate key stakeholders to fulfill a shared vision through flourishing initiatives and partnerships.

Before joining Purpose Brand, Ami put her purpose into practice managing in-person and virtual events as a marketing consultant. She provided ad copywriting, branding, experiential marketing, graphic design, videography and other creative services to clients including Boys & Girls Clubs, GlobalX Airlines, HMMH, Huron Consulting Group, NKSFB Athlete Services, TradeWinds Services, United Airlines and United Way.

As marketing manager for Horseshoe Casino, Ami helped develop and position the brand as Chicago’s leading casino destination. She was a change agent at Lee Enterprises, training editorial and advertising personnel in their transition to online media and advising growing Chicago and Northwest Indiana area businesses on executing their marketing plans as art director for The Times Media Group.

Across her varied interests, Ami is recognized for leadership, innovation, management and impact. Ami taught graphic design at Valparaiso University and the Gary Area Career Center and is proud of her fundraising to open a new Boys & Girls Club in Gary, her hometown.

Ami holds a bachelor of science degree in journalism and creative writing from Ball State University and a master’s degree in arts, entertainment and media management from Columbia College Chicago.
