African Development Fund

Wall Street’s Opening Bell for Investment in Africa

Made in Africa Foundation was founded to support and fund master plans and feasibility studies for transformational, large-scale development and infrastructure projects across the African continent. The Africa50 infrastructure investment platform contributes to Africa's growth by developing bankable projects, catalyzing public capital and mobilizing private funding to produce differentiated financial returns.

The Challenge

Made in Africa Foundation and the Africa50 Infrastructure Fund were working together to launch an infrastructure development fund in the United States. They wanted to raise awareness quickly to gain access to potential investors.

The Solution

Using a three-day event, we quickly raised the fund’s profile and credibility with an intense media blitz during New York City’s United Nations Week. Events included a Nasdaq opening bell ceremony, a thought-leader roundtable at The New York Times and deskside interviews with CNN, Forbes, Huffington Post, Yahoo! Finance, Sirius and The Wall Street Journal. Three intense days generated 3 million targeted impressions.
