Media Coordinator Assistant

Jennifer Zipser brings broadcast experience and storytelling passion to her Purpose Brand clients as a media coordinator assistant.

As an inquisitive field reporter for a CBS affiliate television station in northern Michigan, Jennifer was adept at thinking on her feet, interviewing the region’s business and political leaders and presenting live news reports on the scene. She returned to Chicago to work on public television’s “Whitney Reynolds Show” news segments.

The broadcast journalist found a new outlet for her storytelling passion in public relations, helping nonprofits explain their mission and hone their message. Jennifer enjoys helping Purpose Brand clients achieve meaningful impact while serving their community.

The Chicago native found her passion for storytelling at a young age, writing for school newspapers from middle school onward. She interned for Chicago’s ABC-owned station while pursuing her Columbia College Chicago undergraduate degree in journalism. While working toward her master’s at DePaul, she covered its “sanctuary campus” status and its ban of conservative speaker Ben Shaprio, as well as the budding theater career of Kiki Layne (“If Beale Street Could Talk”) and the Chicago Cubs’ World Series championship.

Jennifer lives in Chicago with her husband Connor and two cats, Gizmo and Lake. In her leisure time, she enjoys traveling, boating and skiing.
