LinkedIn and PR News recognized her work developing Aetna’s executive thought leadership program. She was instrumental in developing a four-day global event, held virtually and live in Singapore during the pandemic, establishing the events strategist network PCMA for crisis management excellence.
Sophia sharpened her business acumen leading valuation teams at BMO and UBS and handling P&L reporting, financial modeling and risk analysis and management. She transitioned from finance in Sapient’s digital consultancy, working with Citadel, CVS Health, MasterCard, Meijer, Royal Bank of Canada, Target, Verizon and other clients.
A native Chicagoan, she chalks up this career trajectory to her family’s insistence she stay close to home and attend a Midwestern college in economics instead of entering Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University on a fast track to become a NASA astronaut. She lives on the South Side and enjoys attending city-sponsored events along Lake Michigan’s shoreline, volunteering for neighborhood organizations and spending time with her family.
